2024-2025 SAMS Carline Procedures

SAMS will use car tag numbers for carline procedures. You may request extra tags (Limit 4) for multiple cars from the front desk.  Please make sure your tag with student name and grade is visible. Vehicles without car tags slow down the driveline process. For security purposes, all vehicles without a car tag will be required to present ID for verification to pick up your student. This may also require you to pull out of the carline to wait for your student. Please do not exit your vehicle.                                                                                          

NO EARLY SIGN-OUTS AFTER 2:00PM

Arrival/Drop-off-7:20-8:00 AM- (AM Carline will start no later than 7:20 AM)

We will be utilizing ALL LANES of our queuing area.  Use the three lanes as you enter the campus then divide into six lanes at the back of the parking lot.  These will be condensed down to two lanes at the southeast corner of the parking lot. Please utilize the 1-2-3 method of merging by yielding to the left. Follow the lanes around to the individual holding the STOP SIGN in front of the building. DO NOT LET YOUR STUDENT(S) EXIT THE VEHICLE OUTSIDE OF THE DESIGNATED DROP-OFF AREA. (Ex.-By the dumpsters OR BY THE FLAG CIRCLE.) DO NOT PARK OR WALK YOUR STUDENT(S) TO THE ENTRANCE. If registered for before school care, parents may drop their student off in the right lane directly in front of the cafeteria starting at 6:30AM-7:20AM. AFTER 7:20AM you will be required to go through carline. AM CARPOOL INCENTIVE-Cars that have multiple families of students being dropped off may utilize the PARKING/EMERGENCY LANE to drop-off their students. Please pull all the way around to the individual holding the STOP SIGN. We will let you know when it is safe to exit the vehicle. If you want to utilize this lane for multiple families, please see the front office for a carpool sticker.

K-2 Dismissal-2:30 PM

K-2 Parents can line up in the LEFT YELLOW LANE at 2:00 PM and may proceed to the stop sign on the Northwest side of the building.  Please follow the LEFT LANE coming into the school around to the sign located in front of the lobby doors. At this sign, please zipper merge down to one lane and proceed around the corner of the building to the PM exit. (See map.)  Carline end times fluctuate day to day. Parents should plan to be in the carline by 2:30PM.

3-8 Dismissal-3:00 PM

3-8 parents can start queuing for carline in the RIGHT TWO BLUE LANES at 2:00 and stack up in the THREE RIGHT BLUE LANES. Eventually, after 1^st carline ends, all lanes will open to 3-8 as you enter the campus then divide into six lanes at the back of the parking lot.  These will be condensed down to two lanes at the southeast corner of the parking lot. Please utilize the 1-2-3 method of merging by yielding to the left. Once you get in front of the main entrance lobby doors, please ZIPPER MERGE into the far-right lane closest to the building. Please be courteous and be sure to merge with your fellow drivers. You will pick up your student(s) around the corner at the numbered cones. Once your student is in the vehicle you may safely pull to the left and exit using the left lanes. DO NOT PARK ON DALE MABRY HWY/BUSINESS COMPLEX PARKING LOT.  Carline end times fluctuate day to day. Parents should plan to be in the carline by 3:00PM.  STUDENTS NOT PICKED UP AT THE END OF CARLINE  WILL BE SENT TO AFTERCARE AND WILL INCUR CHARGES

IMPORTANT AFTERCARE/CARLINE INFO

NO AFTERCARE CHECKOUTS during CARLINE unless teachers have been notified prior to the start of 2:30 dismissal and your student is kept in the classroom with the teacher during dismissal.  AFTERCARE DISMISSAL starts at 3:45 PM. If you show up to pick up your child from AFTERCARE before 3:45PM you will need to park in the parking lot and wait until the aftercare dismissal time.
