Aviation Club

Thursdays every other week | 3:30 - 4:30 PM | Rm 415 | Grades 4-8
This middle school club will explore the science and engineering of Aviation. The club has access to two flight simulators with Airbus Thrustmaster controls. They will compete in an Aviation competition and may take field trips to places like Aviation schools, companies, and/or MacDill AFB.

Spanish Club

1st & 3rd Thursdays | 3:30 - 4:30 PM | Rm 227 | Grades 6-8
This club is for Middle School students interested in learning more about the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking cultures around the world.

Rub Goldberg Club

Thursdays every other week | 3:30 - 4:30 PM | Rm 314 | Grades 2-5
This club focuses on student creativity and problem-solving. They compete in the Rube Goldberg competition in the spring.

NEHS

National Elementary Honor Society. Students are invited based the NAESP standards set forth for the club and will participate in community service event(s) during the year.

Sunlake News Network

Middle School students must apply and be selected to serve as members of the SSN. They produce the daily broadcast of news and events for the school.

Student Council

The Student Council Executive Board is made up of students from grades 5-8 and they must be elected by their peers. Representatives will be elected from homerooms in grades 3-8. They will plan social events for the school, serve as ambassadors when necessary, advise the administration and participate in community service event(s).

Battle of the Books

Wednesdays | 3:30 - 4:30 PM | Rm 314 | Grades 6-8
These teams will read the books from the Florida Association for Media in Education list, (found in the summer learning tab) meet, discuss, and compete.

Art Club

This is a middle school club that will focus on art and preferably enter at least one art competition during the year. Also with community service projects.

Robotics

Thursdays every other week | 3:30 - 4:30 PM | Rm 415 Grades 4-8
This club serves grades 4-8 and will compete in the RoboFest Competition held at Advantage Academy. They are currently UNDEFEATED in Robotics competitions over the last 2 years.

Elem. Grades 3-5 and Middle School Grades 6-8 math competition teams. will meet for practices and each compete in the spring.

Yearbook Crew

Middle School students must apply and be selected to serve as members of the Yearbook Crew. They take the photos, layout the design, produce the yearbook, and coordinate distribution.

We now offer an extended care opportunity for student’s participating in an after-school sport or club program. 
On-line pre-registration is required to ensure student can attend on the day of their club/sport for $7.00 per student/per day which includes an afternoon snack.
